Artist Bio: DON HAMBRICK
Don was born in Siminole, Texas. Ever since childhood, all Don ever wanted to be was a cowboy. He grew up on a cotton farm in Sparenburg where he found at an early age that he was blessed with the ability to draw. While living on a farm, he enjoyed drawing horses, cattle, and the cowboys who work there. He was always inspired by artists; Charles M. Russell and Will James.
Don was selected to participate in several prestigious art shows earning him several awards. Some of these awards include; first in both the acrylics and pencil divisions in the Big Bear Art Show, first place in the acrylics division at the Excalibur Casino Art Show during the National Finals Rodeo, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and first place in the acrylics division at the Phippen Art Show in Prescott, Arizona.
Don is also a writer and poet having had his stories and illustrations published in "The Cowboy" magazine and the "Range" magazine. He has also had a book containing his stories and illustrations published. Don has a strong and abiding faith in God, and thanks him everyday for the talents he has given him.
