Artist Bio: SHERI GREVES-NEILSON
Sheri Greves-Neilson - After over 20 years in the business, Sheri Greves-Neilson is still excited and challenged by her art. Although a perennial award winner, she still enjoys studying and learning more about her chosen medium, pencil and her newest challenge, oil. Sheri also teaches classes in drawing at her studio in California.
Her work has appeared on the cover of Western Horseman magazine, and in many other publications, such as American Artist Magazine and Art of the West. Her images can be seen on items as far away as Scotland. She also does illustrations yearly for the Western Horseman Calendar.
Sheri exhibits her work at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Invitational Art Show in Wyoming, the Peppertree Art Show in California, and the WRCA Art Show in Texas and will be a charter participant in the Cowgirl Up exhibit at the Desert Caballeros Museum in early 2006.
A yearly weeklong cattle drive and various brandings and activities at friend's ranches supply Sheri with a multitude of material and ideas for her work. She lives on her own ranch with husband David, 3 horses, 3 donkeys, 3 cats and a dog.
