Artist Bio: JUNE DUDLEY
June Dudley's paintings have a dynamic, life-giving quality attributable to her fresh & vibrant coloration that has become a trademark of her work. Her viewers are quickly caught up in the mood she has created with her dynamic lighting, her keen sense of color, & her creative spirit. Her paintings reflect the romance and beauty of nature which inspires the soul. She is endlessly searching to show that tie between her subjects and her heart, the poetry of who she is and how she views her world that allows her viewers to connect personally with her paintings.
June says, "I am a country girl whose life revolves around art. Painting is all I have ever wanted to do for as long as I can remember even though life's roads have at times taken me in other directions. I grew up on a ranch, which has been recognized by the state of Texas for having been in my family for over 100 years and which my husband & I still proudly own & operate today. The outdoors has always been my world, & it has instilled in me a deep love of the land which I am told comes through in my paintings. I love painting landscapes because they come from my heart. God gave me the desire, determination, & talent to do something with my life that I am truly passionate about and enjoy immensely."
June's paintings are also a family affair. Her figures are family members or very close family friends. Blessed with three grown children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren she has wonderful models from which to choose. They are all portrayed in her paintings.
Toh-Atin Publishers and New York Graphic Society both publish June's paintings. Several images have also been published as puzzles by Hasbro, Bits & Pieces, and FX Schmidt. Her paintings have been on the covers of Rocky Mountain Rider & Longhorn Drover magazines as well as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's School Art program cover for 2007.
